Processing Recommendation(Screw Extrusion)
- Single screw extruder
- L/D ratio > 20
- Compression ratio of screw must not be too high
- (less than 2,5: 1; better would be smaller, e.g. 1,5 or even down to 1)
- Temperatures need to be adjusted to the actual process conditions and should not be too high, e.g.:
- feed zone 150 deg.,
- along the barrel not much more than 200 deg C,
- down to 160 to 180 deg C at the die
- Enable smooth and easy flow of the resin in the extruder to the die (avoid devices like screens etc.)
